John-Bipasha patch up?

We don't know whether they are on or off.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu seemed to be on a break earlier, as Bips seemed to prefer Saif Ali Khan, and even Christiano Ronaldo over John.

For the moment, the two were spotted together -- quite happily -- at a Gucci function.

No Smoking to premiere in Rome

Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking is all set to be premiered at the second Rome Film Festival. "We have got the official invite to the Rome Film Festival" says Anurag who is very excited about the film’s screening in Rome. The Rome Film Festival elaborate opens on October 18.

As far as the promotions go, the much hyped item number by Bipasha Basu will be out this weekend. “The film’s promotional plan includes Bipasha Basu’s item number from the film,” says Anurag. “Rekha Bhardwaj sang the song and it is different from her other item numbers” adds Anurag. Bipasha however does not have any role and will feature only in the item number in No Smoking.

No Smoking stars John Abraham playing the lead. It also stars Ayesha Takia, Ranvir Shorey and Vinay Pathak. The story is ostensibly about a man who is reluctant to give up smoking and the challenge leads him headlong into ghoulish adventures which he never in his cushioned life ever envisaged.

John-Bipasha Back Together!

The much-in-the-news Bipasha-John pair is very much together. Though both the parties refuse to comment on it, a close friend reveals, "The couple have sorted out their difference after John returned from Pondicherry. They're very much together. In fact John is going through a family illness. And Bipasha is with him throughout."

When asked Bipasha shrugs off the 'on' status of her relationship with John. "I don't think I want to talk about my personal life anymore. What's happening there is for me to know.But yes, John and I have come together professionally again after Goal, this time with an item song in Anurag Kashyap's No Smoking."

But it wasn't the presence of John that impelled Bipasha to accept the song. "Certainly not! It was Vishal Bhardwaj, the man who gave me two of my best item number Beedi and Namak in Omkara. He told me about the item song in No Smoking at the IIFA in Yorkshire. After what the Omkara numbers did to my stage presence I promptly said yes to Vishal."

What about the danger of being branded an item girl?

"When have I cared about my image?" Bipasha shrugs. "And besides I've full faith in the intelligence of the film industry, also my audiences. By now they know what I'm capable of, and it's not just items."

Bipasha is now looking forward to shaking a leg with John for No Smoking. "Though we've done songs before, John and I have never done this kind of sizzling number before. Vishal has pulled out all stops in the composition."

Bipasha is sure the number will be a rage. "John and I are have fun dancing to it. I love the tune. Shooting it feels really good. Hopefully it'll be another number to bring the house down at my stage concerts."

Cinema Buzz : John trying his best to woo Bipasha again!

The John Abraham and Bipasha Basu saga continues. The latest news about the on-and-off couple is that John is trying his best to woo Bipasha again. As a result, the two are now bonding over frequent lunches. Bipasha’s Khar pad has been conveniently fixed as the venue, as the actress has an efficient bunch of house staff. Her neighbours say that John’s car is often parked outside their apartment in the afternoon.

Close friends of the couple also indicate that John is making attempts to renew his ties with his girlfriend, and he is making sure that he spends quality time with Bips every day.

On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan is said to be partying with Bips almost every night! Kya believe karen?

"John & I don't have to do ads together " - Bipasha

Bipasha Basu isn't enjoying the way her relationship with John Abraham is being linked to her absence in the new shampoo ad for the brand they endorse.

"People can say what they like. They do that anyway, no matter what explanations we give. John and I are not answerable to anyone."

Regarding the speculation about John doing the shampoo ad with another model, Bipasha sighs, "When we signed the contract for the shampoo we didn't even know we'd be doing any of their ads together."

Bipasha and John signed their contracts separately. "And my association with that brand of shampoo continues. At this point of time John and I are advertising different brands of shampoo. So the question of me being replaced in the new ad doesn't arise. People can continue to speculate as much as they like. It doesn't bother me."

All the loose talk about the status of her relationship with John has begun to annoy Bipasha. "Let them say what they like. My life is mine alone. I'm answerable only to myself, my family and my close friends. Beyond that, does it really matter? What I'm doing in my personal life shouldn’t be of any consequence to anyone except me. I mean no harm to anyone. So why harm me with such endless speculation?"

The gossip mongers have been going to town with the now-off-now-on observations. Says Bipasha. "Precious news space shouldn't be wasted on such trivia. There's so much more worth writing about. From now I won't discuss my private life in print."
