Gadar 2? No way!
Cutting down all the loose talk about doing a sequel to Anil Sharma's historic 2001 blockbuster Gadar, Guddu Dhanoa whose Big Brother with –you guessed it—Sunny Deol – was not a loser at the boxoffice in North India, has now decided to completely revamp his cousin and favourite hero 's action image.
Says the indefatigable Dhanoa, "My new film with Sunny which starts soon is called Victory. Sunny plays a cop. Like our earlier collaborations from Ziddi to Salakhein to Big Brother it will show him as a powerful man… but only one stunt sequence. That's it.
The rest of Victory will feature the soft sensitive romantic side of Sunny which I feel hasn't been tapped so far."
Says Dhanoa, "Both Sunny and I hope to change our images with this film. Gadar too was a love story. But it had large doses of action. Victory would be a surprise to Sunny's fans. Though he plays a cop, he hardly does any stunts."
Speaking of Gadar a daily reported that Dhanoa was doing its sequel.
"Am I? I've no clue. I am doing Victory for Zee and yes, they're planning a sequel to Gadar. But not with me as director."
Anil Sharma who directed Gadar is expected to do the sequel. "Bilkul," says Guddu Dhanoa. "He's the best man to carry the story forward.
